Global Panel on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition at the ANH Academy Week

HE John Kufuor, Global Panel Co-Chair, and Prof Patrick Webb, Global Panel Technical Adviser, delivered presentations to the research community gathered at the 2nd Annual Agriculture, Nutrition & Health (ANH) Academy Week, Nepal, 9-13 July 2017.
Global Panel Co-Chair and former president of Ghana, HE John Kufuor, appeared on video to encourage the research community to work closely with policy leaders, and to call for a stronger alignment of evidence-based research with food systems policy & investments in Africa and South Asia.
The ANH Academy Week is an annual event, aimed at sharing evidence and analysis of the linkages between agriculture and food systems for improved nutrition and health, and of the disconnects along the agriculture-nutrition pathway.
The Symposium also offered the opportunity to share the key messages of the Global Panel’s Foresight report. Addressing the audience during his closing remarks, Prof Patrick Webb, Global Panel Technical Adviser, considered the extent to which food systems are delivering healthy diets and highlighted entry points for policy.
