Multisector stakeholders gather to accelerate policies to transform food systems to make healthy diets more affordable and accessible to all.
In conclusion to the Cross-Ministerial High-Level Roundtable held in Islamabad by the Global Panel and the Benazir Income Support Programme, participants unanimously sign a statement of intent to reposition food systems to deliver healthier diets.

The Global Panel, in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister in Uganda, hosted a technical seminar and a high-level roundtable meeting with influential stakeholders on 13 and 14 November 2018 in Kampala, with the aim of accelerating progress on delivering healthy diets for the people of Uganda. Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda, called for urgent action using the UN Decade for Action on Nutrition as a platform for international and local leadership.

On 12 April 2016, the Global Panel and the African Union’s Partnership for Aflatoxin Control in Africa (PACA) brought together decision-makers from across Africa to discuss issues around food safety, with particular focus on aflatoxins. The Global Panel launched its latest policy brief ‘Assuring Safe Food Systems: Policy Options for a Healthier Food Supply’ at the roundtable.
