African launch of the Global Panel’s brief Preventing nutrient loss and waste across the food system 13 November 2018, Kampala, Uganda
On 13 November 2018, the Global Panel on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition, in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister in Uganda, hosted the African launch of its new policy brief “Preventing nutrient loss and waste across the food system: Policy actions for high-quality diets”.
Positioning food systems to deliver healthy diets for all in Uganda
The Global Panel, in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister in Uganda, hosted a technical seminar and a high-level roundtable meeting with influential stakeholders on 13 and 14 November 2018 in Kampala, with the aim of accelerating progress on delivering healthy diets for the people of Uganda. Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda, called for urgent action using the UN Decade for Action on Nutrition as a platform for international and local leadership.

5-7 November 2018 – Global Panel Members met in Rome to attend the Fifth Global Panel General Meeting.
