Global Panel at FAO seminar on new Policy Tool

On Friday 14 July, the Global Panel met the nutrition community at FAO to discuss the development of a new Food Systems Policy Tool.
The Global Panel’s new Food Systems Policy Tool (the Tool) aims to guide policymakers through a step-by-step process to identify policy actions that will help deliver high-quality diets for all. The Tool is being developed in consultation with FAO, WHO and SUN, and has the potential to be an important component in achieving the global targets set out in the Sustainable Development Goals, as well contributing to the UN Decade of Action on Nutrition.
At the event:
– Panel Member Emmy Simmons, Co-Chair, Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa/AGree
– Prof Corinna Hawkes, City University, co-author of the Foresight report “Food systems and diets: facing the challenges of the 21st century”
– Prof Sandy Thomas, Global Panel Director
