Biofortification: a new way to address malnutrition
More than 20 years ago, Howarth Bouis, Director of HarvestPlus, and other researchers posed the question of whether nutrition could feasibly be included as a breeding trait. Today at least 15 million people in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America are growing and eating biofortified crops.
